Der Point-7 F100 SDM Mast wurde speziell für das Windsurfen mit Foil konstruiert

Ein Windsurf Segel welches für das fahren mit einem Hydrofoil verwendet wird, hat etwas andere Anforderungen als für das fahren mit einer Finne. Durch das Anpassen des Segel Mastes kann man zusätzlich noch mehr Leistung aus dem Gesamtsystem generieren.

Der Point-7 F100 Foil SDM Mast ist speziell für die hauseigenen Foil Racing Segel entwickelt worden und erfüllt deshalb diese speziellen Anforderungen mit Bravour.

Es stehen vier Längen, von 460 - 570 cm, zur Verfügung. Jeder Point-7 F100 Foil Mast ist im Standard Maß = SDM. Alle Masten haben 100% Carbonanteil. Biegekurven laut Tabelle.

Point-7 F100 Foil SDM Mast Modell ist nicht für das windsurfen mit der Finne geeignet.

Therefore in Point-7 we have decided to develop dedicated masts to enhance the performance of our foil sails, exclusively for those who don’t want compromises in performance.SONIC REFLEX MAST F100 COMMITED TO FLY.

A foil sail goes smooth over water and the mast does not need to have the reflex of a slalom sail but needs to increase stability of the rig to help keep the balance of the foil.

The way a foil sail is cut is to have no back hand and if the mast can follow this characteristic, it will offer the sail a bigger range.

The fact that the luff lengths of foil sails are different to the slalom sails, the reinforcements can follow the luff curve needs to enhance performance in the different areas of the sail.

Generally, a foil mast can be stiffer in the IMCS to lock in forward the profile of the sail, reducing drastically the power of the back hand. Why S behind the SDM

We added the ‘S’  for sonic to our SDM masts as on the top of the mast, there is a new construction which increases the reflex on the winglet area of the sail, giving more control and stability to the sail. 

Mast Intro

Most of the masts might look the same, but often produced by different manufactures with different machinery, materials, climates, and technology, Even if the curve or Imcs numbers might be the same, the performance outcome once down hauled in a sail, will be different. Being the backbone of your windsurfing sail, it makes a very important accessory for the rig. The same as having a suit tailor made. A large 9m slalom sails have different qualities and performance characteristics from a 5m slalom sail which is used in strong wind. The curve and stiffness of the mast needs to be developed accordingly. Most of the masts on the market are constant curve, but this is only a general term to explain the characteristics. What is important is the curve percentages values of the bottom and top sections of the mast, including materials, shapes, and reflex. These are values which are very different in each sail brand, and often kept secret. Therefore, the best efficiency is reached by having an integrated rig.
