CNC FR4.C Techno

Machining (CNC) is one of the two technologies used to manufacture SELECT fins.

Our new CAD / CAM software associated with out new large-framed high speed machining center enable us to make new fins with a superior precision.

Unlike other fins on the market (made from epoxy or raw polyester sheets), SELECT «full CNC» fins are machined from FR4.C / High Density > High Strength prepreg sheets.

THE ADVANTAGES OF SELECT CNC MACHINING FR4.C :

1. Machining provides manufacturing precision and consistent production.
2. As an alternative to molded carbon fins, pre-preg FR4.C machining allows us to offer an excellent range of fins at more affordable prices.

Carbon PrePreg Moulded Techno

The specificity of SELECT Hydrofoils is the molding with prepreg material.

As a pioneer of prepreg carbon fins, SELECT is the only manufacturer to master this production method from the aviation industry.

All our carbon fins are molded in metal molds with the best prepreg materials.

THE ADVANTAGES OF SELECT PREPREG MOULDED TECHNOLOGY

1. The molding ensure a high-precision manufacturing and a constant production;
2. Thanks to the use of prepreg, we can put reinforcements in different materials and in different directions to get the twist and flex values we’re looking for.
3. Thanks to the molding, the rigidity is controlled, whatever the length of the fin.

Hand Made Finishing

SELECT fins are made like couture pieces. The finish is an integral part of the final performance.

Our technology provides us with a fibre without distortion or snags.

Our parts are bare : No holes, no paint, no varnish, nothing. We have nothing to hide ! 

This raw material is then carefully sanded to achieve the best water penetration. Our specific finish for «water on water» contact guarantees the maximum performance of the fin (over its entire range of use).

The «visible carbon» finish is our guarantee of quality and excellence.
