FMX LTD Deck Features

Lightweight 30 degree Biax Carbon Full deck layers

Vertically stiffer compared to standard 45 degree biax carbon layups. Ideal dynamic flex feel for optimised performance in all wind ranges combined with the best compressional strength and long-term durability properties.

EPS Support Layup Technology

Lightweight 45 degree biax carbon underneath the PVC sandwich in key stress areas to properly support the EPS core.

Carbon on both sides of the most used deck pvc sandwich areas creates high strength and torsional stiffness for the freeride LTD construction, for no weight gain.

Double Rows - Single inserts

Double rows of inserts for more inside (more control/stability) and outside (more top-end speed/acceleration) standing positions, to accommodate intermediate and advanced sailors.

Locked in feel for the feet resulting in consistent and ideal strap configurations. Many trim options available.

6-direction carbon reinforcements

All heel and gybe areas with 100% carbon cloth laid flat in 6 different directions yielding harder and more durable skins in critical stress areas for the same given weight.

Deluxe Footstraps

Fashioned after the legendary DK Primo these deluxe straps are ultra comfortable with the right amount of padding, yet still stiff enough to be reactive and responsive for the feet on the race course.

CAD Design & 5-axis CNC shape

All boards are designed in-house using the latest 3d design software.

The original design files are then configured to utilise the high accuracy and precision performance of a 5-axis multi-direction CNC foam milling machine, with the ultra detailed precision coming from the fact that the cutting head always stays square and true to the foam during the shaping process.

This ensures that all masters are direct copies of the original design files.

Top-grade Airex C70-90 HD PVC Sandwich

Hi-density PVC full deck sandwich for maximum compressional strength, stiffness under load and long-term durability. Stiff and consistent sandwich core with low resin absorption and excellent laminate bonding properties.

Airex branded pvc tested best against other pvc options for high-performance eps core windsurfing boards.

Quadraxial Layup Technology

Two layers of high grade T-700 carbon cloth and two layers of high quality plain weave glass fiber all laid flat in four different directions (quadraxial) covering the entire standing area from the mast box to the tail. This gives the highest strength-to-weight-to stiffness ratio available in this market segment today.

One can truly feel the performance difference on the water.

GSR - Goretex self-regulating air valve

No more worrying where the vent plug is, a superb solution to automatically regulate the pressures inside the eps core.

VCS - Vertical Carbon T-stringers

Laminated deep inside the EPS core underneath all four front and back heels and encased in high-density PVC foam for an ultra hard and rigid T beam configuration that increases long-term durability and creates instant reactivity and usable power directly from the heels when the gust arrives.

Double Glass Fiber full bottom layup

Tough, durable and with a softer feel for more comfort than carbon racing boards. This bottom layup gives an ideal dynamic flex feel for optimised performance in a wide variety of freeride specific conditions.

F-EPS Core

Fused bead cutting edge EPS core technology that is harder, stiffer, more waterproof and more durable than traditional EPS cores, whilst also maintaining an active dynamic memory over prolonged use for repeatable high performance.

TCS - Carbon T-Stringer

Laminated deep into the EPS core in a T beam configuration down the center of the most critical stress location that significantly increases the overall strength. This results in a bottom sandwich layup that holds the original shape on the bottom much longer between the feet with prolonged use.

FOIL Tuttle Strong Box

Big boss Foil box with an ultra ultra strong layup and design spec. Double the carbon content, double the wall strength and stiffness, and built with a 100% high-density PVC sandwich body.

The result - fins and foils stay tight and the box holds the direct feeling performance even after prolonged use.

Quadraxial Layup Technology

All-new upgraded finbox reinforcement - New layup with four different layers of biax carbon laid up and over a double sandwich configuration to the side of the tuttle box for the ultimate max. strength. The reinforcement layers stay thin to maintain high accuracy in the water exit areas to match the master original shapes sent to production.

No bumps in the critical wetted surface area.
