Central to Loftsails' racing program, the Racingblade 2025 is an advanced sail designed for maximum efficiency with a fin setup. Specifically developed for competitive slalom racing, it adheres to PWA rules and regulations.

Always subject to continuous refinement and fine-tuning, the latest iteration of the Racingblade features significant improvements, thanks in part to more aggressive batten angles. This updated design, with its revised batten layout, enhances the sail’s aerodynamic properties by reducing drag and boosting both acceleration and speed. Additionally, the reduction in the total cam count to three results in an overall weight reduction while maintaining the firm tension of the mast pocket and profile stability.

The battens have been fine-tuned with longer rod sections and by shifting tube sections further back, creating a shallower entry profile that further reduces drag. This gives another boost to acceleration and speed while facilitating smoother and quicker cam rotation. All battens are housed in side-alternating x-ply pockets, which minimize the asymmetric characteristics of the batten pocket construction.

The Racingblade retains its signature mast pocket construction with mulitple laminate & woven panels. A double-layer stretch-resistance zone is formed with 2-mil quad-axial x-ply (a lightweight material that resists folding memory) and IYU250 woven mast pocket material. This integrated 2-ply tendon extends from head to tack just behind the mast and helps the mast pocket maintain its optimal condition over time.

To address potential issues with cam rotation due to material degradation, all camber inducer points of the Racingblade are equipped with Metallic Cam Interfaces.

Loftsails focuses on the longevity of its designs and the Racingblade is no exception. The central window, leech, and foot panels are reinforced with x-ply laminates, while bi-ply body panels infuse exceptional UV resistance.

All new Racingblades come with one camber set. Sizes 5.8 and smaller include TekCam 2 RDM, while sizes 6.6 and larger come with TekCam 2 SDM.
