Ein Freeride Windsurfing Segel spricht alle an, die einfach nur das Windsurfen genießen wollen. Dafür wurde das Patrik Ride FR Freeride Segel konstruiert. Einfache Handhabung und Handling und eine hochwertige Bauweise. Der beim Patrik Ride FR empfohlene RDM Mast begünstigt das Handling, ist robuster und sorgt für ein weicheres, entspannteres fahren.

Wie ist die Konstruktion?

Benutzerfreundlichkeit, aber auf „PATRIK“-Art. Das bedeutet, dass wir bei den für unsere Freeride-Reihe ausgewählten Baumaterialien keine Abstriche machen. Das Patrik Ride FR ist überhaupt kein Segel aus billigem Material!

Das Vorliek-Panel ist ein 2,5 MIL x/scrim-ply, das sich immer noch sanft aufbläst, aber robuster und belastungsbeständiger ist als Dacron.

Der untere Teil des Segels besteht aus 5 MIL x-ply-Material, um guten Schutz gegen Stöße zu bieten, ohne das Gewicht zu sehr zu beeinträchtigen. Das Hauptfenster ist ein solides und dickes 5 MIL-Monofilm, das die beste Kombination aus Sicht, Stoßfestigkeit und Gewicht bietet. All diese Dinge sollten noch mit einer guten Formstabilität kombiniert werden, die in diesem Bereich ein Schlüsselfaktor ist (Hauptkraft des Segels). Für den oberen Teil des Segels haben wir einen 4 MIL blau getönten Monofilm gewählt, der leichter ist und UV-Beständigkeit dort hinzufügt, wo man nicht durchsehen muss.

Als weiteren Bonus haben wir uns für ein klares 5 MIL X-Ply und ein blaues 5 MIL X-Ply entlang des Achterlieks und der oberen Platte entschieden, um dem Bereich, der beim Auftakeln und Rollen des Segels ständig beansprucht wird, eine gewisse Verschleißfestigkeit zu verleihen.

Wie trimmt man es?

Das Patrik Ride FR ist eine einfache Freeride-Maschine. Wir haben unsere optischen Anzeigen für die richtige Spannung an den Lattentaschen angebracht. Stellen Sie also sicher, dass Sie immer die empfohlene Mindest-Downhaul-Markierung erreichen, damit das Segel in den Böen Druck ablassen kann. Dies sorgt für eine ruhige Fahrt bei unruhigem Wetter und noch mehr Kontrolle und Höchstgeschwindigkeit.

"Play with the clew position. Choose the upper eyelet position for more power and drive. Switch to the lower clew position when you are light, easily overpowered or want a softer sail in general. Otherwise this is as easy as it gets. No cambers, soft batten rotation and a nice and locked profile. After all this is the go-to sail for everybody who likes to fast without the hassle and heavyness of a modern slalom sail."

How is the contruction?

Easy of use but in a "PATRIK" way. This means that we don't cut any corner in the construction materials selected for our Freeride range. It's not a cheap material sail at all!

The luff panel is a 2.5 MIL x/scrim-ply which still inflates gently but is more robust and higher load resistant compared to the dacron.

The sail bottom part is made of 5 MIL x-ply material to give good protection against impacts without compromising the weight too much. The main window is a solid and thick 5 MIL monofilm which provides best combo between visibility, impact resistance and weight. All these things should still be combined with a good shape stability, which is a key factor in this area (main power of the sail). For the top part of the sail, we chose a 4 MIL blue tinted monofilm, which is lighter and adds UV-resistance where you don't need to see through.

As a further bonus, we chose a clear 5 MIL x-ply and blue 5 MIL x-ply along leech and top panel, to add a touch of wear resistance to the area which is always stressed while rigging and rolling the sail.
